II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who sought to establish a contract for the supply of new born calf serum.
The serum must be;
- sterile tissue culture grade from BSE free herds
- tested and found negative for Mycoplasma and Adventitious viruses
- optically clear and free of particulate matter
The successful supplier must be able to provide evidence of testing for glucose and provide 5ml aliquots of the material prior to acceptance
of any delivery.
As part of the tender, a minimum of 2 lots of 100ml samples will be required for quality testing free of charge for the WEQAS team to evaluate.
