School of Engineering Refurbishment

Description of the goods or services required

This procurement relates to the proposed re-modelling of second floor rooms S2.04-2.08; S2.11-2.13; S2.10 and S2.14 in the School of Engineering (ENGIN) Queen’s Central to provide additional teaching space for Year 1, 2 and 3 graduate teaching programmes, a renewed laboratory space and a staff tea-point area. It is also proposed that an additional room in Trevithick (T2.07) is adapted to create a 24/7 student learning zone. All as detailed in the business case submitted to the E&I committee and UEB. Furniture and AV is also included in this Procurement and will be included as part the Main Contractor appointment.

Additional Information

Access to the Procurement documents will close at 5pm on 6th January 2023 in order for Site Visits to take place W/C 9th January 2023. Further details regarding site visits are contained in Schedule 2 - Specification.

All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of bidders.

The University reserves the right to award the contract in whole or in part.

The University reserves the right to annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

All documents to be priced in GBP and all payments made in GBP.

All documents to be priced in GBP excluding VAT.
