Abstract

The NWSSP All Wales Laundry Service invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit a tender The work required for the 3 Lavatec Presses are: Hardware Upgrade consisting of: • Replacement panel in the form of an integrated colour touch screen panel. • Replacement of existing PLC for modern equivalent compatible with existing machine. • Installation of the board, which must include digital inputs/outputs, analogue outputs, capable of controlling the main drive, OPC-UA Interface, USB Port for Data Transfer, Powerlink & X2X interface, interface to existing machine. • OPCUA interface for communication with external machines (controls) • and/or for data logging systems or operational control systems. • CE & UL - conformity according to the latest regulations on all hardware supplied. • Installation of a management module and a 4G modem with sim card to allow online support Software Upgrade consisting of: • Software package which is compatible with the new hardware on the press and can optimise the machine performance. • Software must be able to hold a sufficient number of press programs which are sufficient for the laundry needs. • The software must interface with the rest of the machines in the production process, such as the CBW, Monorail system, shuttle, and Dryers. • Must show any faults that occur on the press • Have the ability to interface to other equipment to run machine reports. • Must interface with the on board modem to allow online support. Outputs Required:- All the press hardware and software must be successfully installed, tested and commissioned for the press upgrades to be successfully completed. The online support must also be tested before completion of the upgrades. The successful bidder will need to provide a detailed project plan that will highlight delivery and implementation timeframes. The bidder will need to provide the architectural specifications of how your network speaks to router The 4g router must be able to support two sim cards for in the event of a failure.
