Minimum standards and qualification required
Full details are set out in the Invitation to Tender documentation. However, a summary is provided below for information purposes.
Tendering Organisations must have a minimum of £10,000,000 Public Liability and Employer's Liability
Insurance Cover.
Tendering Organisations are required to hold or employ a sub-contractor that holds the following
accreditations:
> Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP) accreditation as a Principal Contractor.
> Upper Tier Waste Carrier's Licence.
> Relevant operatives (employed by Tendering Organisation or their sub-contractor) gas safe registered or equivalent for the competencies set out in the Invitation to Tender.
> Accredited as an installer for: IKO roofing systems; IKO balcony covering system; Parex external wall insulation system.
> Accredited as a member of the National Federation of Roofing.
> Accredited for the installation of windows and doors with one of the Government approved full-scope Competent Persons Schemes set out in the Invitation to Tender.
> Relevant operatives (employed by Tendering Organisation or their sub-contractor) holding a Non-Licensed Asbestos Works training certificate from a training provider accredited by one of the following bodies UKATA, IATP, BOHS, ASHEeLA or equivalent.
> Registration Certificate from any one of the Government approved full-scope Competent Person Schemes for electrical works such as ELECSA, NICEIC, ECA, NAPIT or an equivalent recognised professional body.
