II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The domestic property portfolio of the Council comprises a mixture of social housing (approximately 13,500 properties in number) and other properties.
Maintenance of these properties is undertaken by the Council via a mixture of in house provision and external Contractors.
This tender is for electrical testing (and in some cases will include remedial works including in some instances re-wires), and the installation or replacement of some smoke detectors to domestic properties (smoke detector replacement will be at the time of testing).
Dwellings will vary in age and condition and the Contractor must make due allowance for this.
