Abstract

This is an Invitation to Tender for the Provision of consultancy services to develop, design and oversee the delivery of Direct Energy Purchase: Phase II to Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC). Brief Outline: The ITT describes 3 work stages (Packages of Work) namely Preparation, Procurement and Client Representative. There are also 2-options to be considered by the Bidder for the Private Wire Connection as follows: Option 1: – provide power to Caerau Primary School and an energy centre in close proximity (for a small mine water heat scheme). Option 2: – Option 1 plus providing power to a community building and an additional energy centre located at the Tudor Estate, to the west of the School. An appraisal of these Options and final decision by BCBC is currently underway. For the purpose of this Tender, bidders should provide costings for both Options The Tenderer should note that the Authority, for whatever reason, reserves the absolute right NOT to invoke all work stages of this contract. Although not essential, the Authority is ideally looking for Providers with experience of working on District Heating Schemes.

Contract Term: The contract awarded to the successful Tenderer will be as follows (these dates are indicative):

Work stage 1: Circa. 22nd March 2021 to 31st August 2021.

Work stage 2: Circa. 1st September 2021 to 17th December 2021.

Work stage 3: Circa. 3rd January 2022 to 30th September 2022.

The Tenderer should note that the Authority, for whatever reason, reserves the absolute right NOT to invoke all work stages of this contract.
