Abstract

Bangor University are looking to purchase a digital droplet PCR machine for the analysis of SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater from a range of sewage treatment plants around the UK. This forms part of the national monitoring of viral loads to support the community-level COVID-19 surveillance and track and trace programme. After establishment, we are looking to determine the concentration of other RNA and DNA viruses in wastewater by ddPCR. The equipment will be placed in the Centre for Environmental Biotechnology at Bangor University.
