Abstract

The Welsh Government is seeking to appoint a contractor to scope and outline a draft minimum digital living standard for Wales which is based on what stakeholders and individuals identify as necessary to be digitally included in modern Wales. The work should take into consideration the Welsh Government Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 and the seven national well-being goals, as well as the Socio-economic Duty (March 2021) which puts tackling inequality at the heart of decision-making. The proposed draft minimum digital living standard for Wales will form part of the evidence base to inform next steps for the Welsh Government and wider sectors. This could include considering how to further assess the needs of citizens and how to develop suitable, appropriate, interventions to ensure all citizens across Wales are able to engage with digital technology (including services) and are digitally confident and resilient.
