Given the need to address the significant increase in patient waiting lists and National shortage due to pressures on the overseas exam availability and a national shortage of UK trained consultant oncologists (RCR workforce census) as a result of the COVID19 pandemic.
Swansea Bay University Health Board has explored the potential for engagement through a compliant Public Sector Agency Framework, but due to the niche nature of the post, the HB has been unable to source via the compliant procurement route. Due to the critical nature of the service SBUHB require a Locum consultant medical oncologist whilst a permanent solution is completed.
