Abstract

Overall Aim and Purpose of the Project This project is to carry out a detailed design for the Garden’s external lighting, taking into account the modification of our existing external lighting arrangement (approximately 218 Luminaries) and other areas of the Garden where lighting is required. The design is to include a full specification, a Scope and Programme of Works, cost packages and Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). The modified lighting system is to be compatible with the Garden’s existing Building Management System (BMS - BAS 2800 system) and remain compatible should this BMS be upgraded in the future. The installation is to take into account energy conservation and sustainability, and to provide suitable aesthetic lighting for the external areas of the core site of the Garden. It is a requirement of the Garden that the work is completed to programme and final completion and invoice to be achieved by no later than the 31st March 2015. The successful Contract will be let, only on the basis of ability to meet this requirement.
