Newport City Council is to apply to the Welsh Government to decriminalise parking enforcement within the Newport City Council area. This will have the effect of the Council enforcing waiting and parking restrictions which are currently the responsibility of the Police.

Newport City Council will be looking to introduce CPE and this review is necessary to comply with the requirements of the Application, to the Welsh Government, for the transfer of parking enforcement powers under CPE.

Newport City Council has Parkmap as their current mapped based system for the TROs. The corporate GIS system is Mapinfo in conjunction with OS mastermap. Newport City Council require their current restrictions to be mapped on to Mapinfo/ Parkmap so, they can be included as the schedules to any new TRO.

- Click the “Express Interest” button in the “Actions” box on the page.

- This will move the ITT into your “My ITTs” page. (This is a secure area reserved for your projects only)

- Click on the ITT code to access the content

3. Responding to the tender

- You can now choose to “Create Response” or “Decline to Respond” (please give a reason if declining)

- You can now use the ‘Messages’ function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification

- Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT
