Swansea Materials Research & Testing Ltd. (SMaRT) seeks to appoint a Contractor for the design, supply, installation and calibration of two floor mounted, twin column, electric operated mechanical test frames both capable of performing load and strain controlled fatigue testing. One machine must be capable of testing between room temperature and 1000oC, and the other at room temperature only.

The Contractor will design, supply and install the rigs in accordance with normal industry standards. It is expected that the mechanical test frames will be utilised for at least 80% of any given period, with operations spanning 24 hours / 365 days per year. On delivery, the rigs must be calibrated (load, displacement and extensometer) and certified against load train

A minimum of a one year warranty, service and maintenance contract must be offered against each test frame.
