Description of the goods or services required
The Council wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Engineering Consultancy to design the Highways, foul and surface water drainage elements for a development of affordable housing.
The site is located at the redundant Ysgol Parch.Thomas Ellis school site, Holyhead. A topographical survey of the site has been conducted and will be available in .dwg format upon request.
The site is located within the Joint Local Development Plan (JLDP) Development Boundary.
The focus of the design will be low carbon, affordable housing and the proposed design will need to conform to the standards set out in the Development Quality Requirements (DQR) Wales. It is intended that a social housing grant application be made to Welsh Government, so the design process will have to follow WG’s latest grant application procedure of concept and pre-planning approval stages.
The successful Consultant is to take the design so as to achieve full planning consent. Subsequent design work will be undertaken by the successful contractor on a design & build contract basis.
