Abstract

This commission is to undertake a structural survey with costed and prioritised outline conservation recommendations for the ruins of Clydach Ironworks, Monmouthshire. A programme of rope access vegetation clearance will also be required to enable and assist inspection, the extent of which will be determined by the successful consultant. The consultant will also be required to appoint a rope access contractor as part of their fee proposal. The resultant report will form a key document for the development of projects and funding bids to conserve and provide safe public access to the monument and will inform a long-term plan for its sustainable management.
