Outright Purchase of One x 5 Tonne GVW Chassis Cab Tipper with Cabinet
SPECIFICATION FOR A 5.2 TONNE G.V.W. CHASSIS CAB TIPPER WITH CABINET

2. BODY
2.1 Heavy duty steel tipper body
2.2 Body interior length of approximately 2700mm
2.3 Body width of approximately 2000mm
2.4 Fixed headboard with ladder rack complete with 25mm square mesh screen to protect rear of cabinet
2.5 Four recessed DIN compliant load restraint hooks are to be fitted, equally spaced, to the body floor edge on each side of the cargo load area
2.6 Body safety prop
2.7 Fitted with drop sideboards, approximately 400mm high, to be constructed of aluminium board panels with theft resistant hinges. The sideboard exterior panels are to be flat to allow the application of livery.
2.8 The drop sideboards on the nearside are to be configured to create an entry ‘gate’ of approximately 600mm wide at the nearside rear of the body and is to be constructed in the same manner as the other sideboards. `
2.9 A robust detachable fall arrest/restraint steel chain is to be fitted across the entry gate sideboard. The chain is to be powder coated in a high visibility yellow, permanently secured to the left hand sideboard post and secured by a durable detachable clip on the right hand side post.
2.10 This fall arrest/restraint chain must be able to be fixed at a height of 950mm from the body floor when fully tensioned.
2.11 A robust (Ingimex or similar) folding single step must be fitted to the inside of the nearside rear entry gate sideboard to assist entry into the body when the entry gate is lowered. This step must be positioned to ensure, that when deployed, the first step height is no more than 500mm from ground level.
2.12 The step must have an anti-slip tread plate with a tread plate width of approximately 200mm and be powder coated in a high visibility yellow.
2.13 Stops must be fitted to the nearside rear of the body or entry gate sideboard to prevent the entry gate sideboard swinging under the body when this folding step is in use.
2.14 An entry assist grab handle is to be fitted on the left hand entry gate sideboard post, adjacent to the folding step, to provide a 3 point contact for access. The grab handle must be powder coated in a high visibility yellow.
2.15 A swing and drop steel tailboard, approximately 450mm high. The tailboard exterior panel is to be flat to allow the application of livery.
2.16 Removable 50mm fall arrest/restraint bars are to be fitted to the full length of the tailgate and offside sideboard, as well as the main sideboard length on the nearside (see 2.8 for entry gate fall arrest/restraint arrangement).
2.17 These fall arrest/restraint bars are to be robust and constructed in aluminium, powder coated in a high visibility yellow, secured using anti-luce pin fixings to extended sideboard posts. These fall arrest/restraint bars must be fitted at a height of 950mm from the body floor.
2.19 A twin storage cabinet, constructed of aluminium, mounted on the chassis frame at rear of cab, with the top of the cabinet is to be level with the cab roof.
2.20 The cabinet width is to be the same width as the body (see 2.3) and the length is to be approximately 700mm.
2.21 The cabinet is to be divided into separate sections by a sealed interior panel, split on a 70/30% basis, with the larger compartment located on the nearside.
2.22 Cabinet to have a mid height, full depth shelf fitted in the both compartments (position to be confirmed at time of build)
2.23 The cabinet is to have a full length false floor set at 300mm above primary floor and not to be partitioned, to allow the storage of long tools and equipment
2.24 Access to both compartments is to be via full height roller shutter doors on either side, with each roller shutter door fitted with a securing device to ensure they stay open when required.
2.25 The roller shutter doors are to be fitted with heavy duty hasp and staple arrangements, complete with heavy duty padlocks for each side.
2.26 Interior lighting is to be fitted inside both compartments, operated by a master switch with a warning light in the cab when in use
2.27 Three sturdy coat hooks are to be fitted to the interior of the offside compartment.
2.28 Four under body rope securing hooks appropriately located
2.29 Four under body heavy duty 800kg breaking load lashing rings appropriately located
2.30 Heavy duty tow bar with universal pin and 50mm ball coupling, rated at 3500kg capacity c/w trailer wiring terminating in a 7 pin socket
