Abstract

Approximately 54% of adults in North Wales are living with overweight or obesity. Weight management services in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board are co-ordinated by Dietetics. Services are provided in a tiered pathway at levels 1-4. We would like to create content for a website and deliver marketing to engage people with overweight or obesity living in North Wales to find the support they need to manage their weight under the suggested heading ‘Help with my Weight North Wales’. Within the above structure, the Level 2 Weight Management Service is a new service across North Wales. We aim to provide an effective, accessible, timely and innovative weight management service for adults with BMI 30-45, focussed on promoting health and wellbeing, coordinating with other services. We aim to increase engagement among men and people living in deprived or rural areas. To support the delivery of the KindEating group weight management programme we would like to create a participant booklet, a participant journal and design assets for webpages for participant access. Participants will be able to access the KindEating programme via video group or in face-to face group programmes.
