Abstract

Following on from the existing Catalyst Cymru: Resilient Heritage project WCVA has been awarded £248,600 by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to deliver a two-year project, running July 2021 – June 2023. Catalyst Cymru: Broadening Horizons is a pan-Wales project which aims to help micro, small and medium heritage organisations or organisations undertaking a heritage project become more resilient and sustainable by broadening their income streams, audiences and people (staff/volunteers/boards.) It is led by WCVA in partnership with Wales Co-Operative Centre and will have activities running from October 2021 including: health checks and coaching, a training programme, widening networks activities and grants to organisations. We seek an evaluator to be part of this work. Objectives of the Evaluation include: • Oversight of and (if required) input to the internal evaluation documents to be used during the delivery of the project. This will take place at the beginning of the project to ensure the project team is collecting appropriate data for a full and proper evaluation of the activities. • One interim impact evaluation report due 31 October 2022 • One final impact evaluation report due 31 May 2023– to include case studies exemplifying the experiences of participating organisations. The report will need to show if, and to what extent, the project has met its identified targets and outcomes.
