Description of the contract
Life Sciences Hub Wales is currently developing a Business Case Plan (“the Plan”) for submission to Welsh Government to inform the Company’s remit and funding requirement to 2026.
The Plan will be aligned to Welsh Government health and social care policies (including A Healthier Wales, the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act and Prosperity for All National Strategy) and set in the context of the UK life sciences vision and draw on best practice internationally.
The Plan is intended to ensure Life Sciences Hub Wales’s activity:
- is aligned with stakeholder expectations;
- meets the needs of the health innovation ecosystem in Wales;
- reflects best practice internationally; and
- maximises the impact of the services offered by Life Sciences Hub Wales to enable accelerated adoption of healthcare innovation to deliver patient, economic and economic development benefits.
The Plan will address recommendations made following a project assurance review undertaken by Welsh Government earlier in 2021.
Life Sciences Hub Wales seeks to procure an external consultant (“the Contractor”) to work with the Life Sciences Hub Wales management team to assist with the development of the Plan.
Consultancy is sought from a contractor that has deep, existing knowledge and experience of:
- the life sciences sector and strategies in the UK and internationally for accelerated adoption of innovation;
- critical success factors for healthcare innovation ecosystems and the role of organisations similar to Life Sciences Hub Wales;
- access to data to meet the requirement as outlined; and
- a track record of supporting production of business cases to Government.
