Abstract

Required: supply and analysis of eDNA test kits for up to 80 sites to test for fish and other vertebrates and bivalve molluscs, with a particular emphasis on the detection of freshwater pearl mussel, Margaritifera margaritifera. Please also include in the quotatation (1) the cost of just doing fish and other vertebrates and (2) the cost of just testing for freshwater pearl mussel. For all three options (fish and other vertebrates + bivalves, fish and other vertebrates only, bivalves only) please also show the per site cost to allow adjustments to be made to the final number of sites surveyed on the basis of overall cost. Please provide evidence of experience of previous work detecting freshwater bivalve mussels using eDNA.
