First - THE WORKS
• The work comprises: various structural repairs, general building repairs, redecorations to
external fabric including access stairs, common internal areas, boundaries, garden and yard
areas. Installation of door entry systems, ventilation systems and lighting systems in common
areas and occupied dwellings. Internal renewals of kitchens, bathrooms, electrical and heating systems.
Second - CONTRACTOR'S DESIGNED PORTION
• The Works include the design and construction of:
- Door entry systems
Lighting systems (LED)
Ventilation systems
Kitchens
Bathrooms
Heating systems and boiler installations
Electrical power and lighting systems
Structural repairs (cavity wall ties replacement, crack stitching, lintel replacement
Temporary works

3 Conditions for Participation
|
3.1
|
Minimum standards and qualification required
Contractors must have a Minimum Turnover of at least £2 million pounds per annum.
Gas maintenance and servicing must be carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers
Electrical repairs must be carried out by contractors registered by National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) or Electrical Contractors Association (ECA).
Before commencing the site must be registered with The Considerate Constructors Scheme, details in tender documents.
Contractors should also be registered with the Constructing Better Health Scheme.

Additional Information
This project contains a large number of leasehold properties. and commencement of the contract will not be possible until the appropriate consultations have taken place. As a result of these consultations some properties/ blocks may be omitted from the final contract.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
The following Community Benefits will be CORE requirements in the contract. The agreement to meet these requirements will be a condition of a compliant bid. The cost of delivery for the Community Benefits required will be factored into the tender pricing [tender document section 10 ‘Main Summary’.
Contractors are required to provide the cost of delivery for CORE community benefits, even when this is [£0.00], which in most cases it will be.
