Description of the goods or services required
Cadw is the Welsh Government's historic environment service working for an accessible and well-protected historic environment for Wales. Cadw have a requirement for a qualified and experienced contractor to deliver the enabling works required for the Kings Gate Project at Caernarfon Castle, Gwynedd.
The first phase for which this advert is for covers the enabling works which will take approximately 3 months and will briefly comprise of the siting of a temporary visitor entrance, installation of 2 modular buildings to house temporary staff accommodation and a temporary storage & pop-up catering provision, level access improvements, drainage installations and MEP service installations.
Future phases will be procured separately and will encompass the main conservation and alternation works.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Community Benefits will be a non-Core requirement for this contract and will not form part of the evaluation criteria.
