Developing a Digital Welcome Pack for Social Care Workers

Description of the goods or services required

To register, workers must prove they are fit to practise – this means having the skills, knowledge and character to work safely and effectively, as well as being physically and mentally fit, and agree to abide by the Code of Professional Practice for Social Care (the Code). Applications to register are made through our on-line portal, SCWOnline. This is also the primary means of keeping in touch with registered persons. This piece of work will have two main purposes:

1) Support those who are new to registration,

2) Develop a welcome pack for those already on the Register.

We need to develop a range of communications to introduce registration and to provide ongoing support. We already have a lot of information about registration and have developed some resources. Examples of the videos produced are on our website, but these are out-of-date and need refreshing.

Budget

There is a budget of £85,000 (inclusive of any applicable VAT) agreed for this ten-der. However, we are open to supplier recommendations and realise that this may come at additional cost. Therefore, please do not allow this indicative budget figure to deter submissions which may be over this value, but please ensure your submis-sion clearly defines any reasoning for the budget.

Length of contract

The contract will run initially until 28th February 2022 with a possibility of being extended for a further 12 (twelve) months awarded in 2 (two) separate 6 (six) month extensions, up to a total period of 18 months.

The extension option will only become available subject to budgetary funding approval from Welsh Government and is in no way guaranteed.
