Description of the goods or services required
Hywel Dda University Local Health Board has a requirement for refurbishment works to Teifi Ward at Glangwili Hospital.
The requirement is for:-
Builders Work
Light refurbishment works: Replacing flooring redecorating walls & Ceilings / Improving and widing 4 bed patient bay door widths / New Nurse base stations / New ceiling system. Reinstating Covid Dividing screens within 4 bed patient bays.
Electrical Work
To include:
• Isolation of all existing nurse call points Phase 1 & 2 / (25) Reinstate once new ceiling system is in place
• Isolation of all corridor lighting and removal and installing existing lighting once new ceiling system is in place.
• Isolation and removal of all fire alarm detectors within Phase 1 & 2, (12) detector heads to be reinstated once new suspended ceiling tile system in place.
• Isolation and reposition light switches located by nurse base station onto new wall panel
• Isolation and relocation of Medical Gas alarm panel onto new wall panel in burse base station
• Supply & Install new down lights, dim control for nurse base station
• Supply & Install dado trunking within new burse base station: x4 dual new small power / x2 dual I.T Data points to nurse base station (two nurse base stations)
• Supply & Install dado trunking: x6 dual new small power / x2 dual I.T Data points (Ref room 27)
• Supply & Install dado trunking: x6 dual new small power / x4 dual I.T Data points (Ref room 37)
• Supply & Install dado trunking within new burse base station: x3 dual new small power / x2 dual I.T Data points (Ref room 38)
• Relocation of all light switches within 4 patient bed areas. Light switches to be relocated within corridor areas (x6 light switches to be relocated)
Mechanical Work
To Include:
• Single bed side rooms: Ref rooms 1 & 15
o Isolation of existing WHB
o Connect existing H&C services onto new WHB Type 6
o Supply and install new F&R to WHB
o Waste to connect to existing
• Single bed side rooms: Ref rooms 5/7 & 9/10
o Isolation of existing WHB
o Connect existing H&C services onto new WHB Type 2
o Supply and install new F&R to WHB
o Waste to connect to existing
• All 4 Bed Patient Bays: Ref rooms 2/3/4/12/13/14
o Isolation of existing WHB
o Connect existing H&C services onto new WHB Type 1
o Supply and install new F&R to WHB
o Extend waste pipe from new WHB location onto existing waste connection
• Patient Medical Room: Ref room 23
o Isolation of existing WHB
o Connect existing H&C services onto new WHB Type 4
o Supply and install new F&R to WHB
o Waste to connect to existing
• Patient WC: Ref room 42
o Isolation of existing WHB
o Connect existing H&C services onto new WHB Type 5
o Supply and install new F&R to WHB
o Waste to connect to existing
• New Hot Water flow return to be connected from service duct pipe to rise within Store room ref 25 as discussed on site. New pipe run length of corridor & tie off into areas where IPS WHB are located approx. pipe run @140 meters.
