TQ Response - All Parties Concerned
Please see the below response to a TQ which we believe would be beneficial for all parties.

The cable route between the main panel board and the mess room DB was not investigated during the design survey as the requirement for the replacement of the existing sub-main cable was unknown at the time of survey. It is assumed that the existing cable route exits the electrical switch room at high level and is routed across the footbridge and down the staircase to platform 2/3 on high level cable tray.

As the sub-main cable appears to rise from below before terminating at the mess room DB, it is assumed that the cable drops to low level at a point on platform 2/3 and then routes within a floor void under the station building. The installation contractor will be required to survey the route for the existing sub-main cable and confirm if the existing route / CMS can be used or alternatively propose a new route for acceptance by TfW.

We have looked through the site photographs and the cable runs across the bridge to a point and disappears.
We can either follow the route of the existing cable, which may be difficult as the cable is larger or the contractor allows for a new section of 150mm cable tray from the bridge to the mess room at high level – please submit a price for the latter.
