Abstract

Thinning and other works in a 16 hectare wood known as Cwm Coel, in the Elan valley just over 6 miles to the west of Rhayader (Grid ref SN900640). This is a lovely broadleaf woodland which requires thinning of three dense patches of birch regen, two of which are within old exclosures, along with control of site non-native trees
