2. Context

The ASDinfoWales website is a repository for resources for individuals with ASD, their family and carers and professionals who support them. The website hosts a number of learning resources for professionals and during 2015 – 2016 this will be expanded to incorporate professional development programmes aimed at 2 specific statutory service areas. The development programmes will incorporate videos for professionals. The aim of these videos will be to increase knowledge, skill and understanding of ASD and to address misconceptions.

Total quantity or scope of tender

Requirements:-

a. The creation of 6 training videos as follows:

Videos A – 10 minute duration, one English, one Welsh

Videos B- 20 minute duration, one English one Welsh

Videos C – 20 minute duration, one English, one Welsh

b. Final products will be delivered in a high quality format for use in conferences, and also format suitable for sharing online. In addition we will require the product to be delivered on branded USB drives containing the Welsh and English version of videos in the following quantities:

Videos A (10 mins) – 1000 copies

Videos B (20 mins) – 1000 copies

Videos C (20 mins) – 500 copies

c. Products will be of a high quality, and incorporate ASDinfoWales branding within video and on USB drives as agreed with contract manager.

d. Videos will incorporate a bilingual presenter, ‘story like’ filming and graphical content similar to existing ‘working with autism’ video which can be found here

e. Tender will be inclusive of all costs including actors, presenters, location and production.

f. Videos will be completely bilingual, with all English version content replicated in Welsh for Welsh version of video (no subtitles).

g. Videos will incorporate ASDinfoWales resources as specified by contract manager.

h. Tender will include representation at 3 development meetings with target audience representatives.

i. Content of videos will be provided in English text. Translation costs and script writing costs should be included in the tender.

j. Contractor will provide weekly updates to contract manager during periods of development.

k. Project management and creative direction will be provided.

3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required

5. Tenders for this work should evidence

a. A track-record of similar work, and in particular high quality training videos delivered within agreed timescales.

b. Awareness and understanding of the Welsh language, and ability to develop Welsh language videos

c. An understanding of ASD and the implications of this in relation to producing these resources.

d. The ability to develop an appropriate resource in response to engagement and consultation with appropriate stakeholders.
