II.2.4) Description of the procurement
TfW has procured origin-destination Mobile Network Data for the whole of Wales and bordering areas of England. The primary purpose of the Mobile Network Data is to develop origin-destination matrices for two new regional transport models, which are to be developed by TfW during 2019/20.
Mobile Network Data is required for the historic period Saturday 28th July 2018 to Sunday 2nd September 2018 inclusive and the period Monday 4th March 2019 to Friday 12th April 2019 inclusive. Mobile Network Data is required at census level geography, covering all of Wales plus a buffer area into England running east of the Wirral, Shrewsbury, Hereford and Bristol.
Mobile Network Data is to be segmented by type of day, time period, hour, mode, journey purpose, as set out in the specification. Appropriate data verification methods need to be employed.
Data is to to be provided as OD matrices and trip end totals, along with a report detailing the processes undertaken.
