Research with education professionals involved in qualification grading decisions summer 21

2.2

Description of the goods or services required

A research contract to deliver a two-stage research project:

A) An online survey for teachers, lecturers and heads of centre who have been involved in grading decisions for qualifications due to be awarded in summer 2021;

B) Follow-up semi-structured interviews with approximately 30 respondents to explore their responses in more depth.

Minimum standards and qualification required

Qualifying criteria

a) To avoid perceptions of a conflict of interest, Qualifications Wales are unable to accept bids from suppliers directly involved in the awarding of regulated qualifications in Wales, England, or Northern Ireland.

b) The supplier will need to plan for the data collection to be conducted through either English or Welsh, depending on the participant’s preference. They must also provide all documentation used to support the fieldwork (for example survey questions, discussion guides, consent form and information sheets) and all communications that are shared externally in both English and Welsh. The final report does not need to be submitted bilingually.
