Abstract

Newport City Council invites tenders for the provision of services to develop a City wide policy and design guidance for the installation of on-street electrical vehicle charging points, combined with a rollout plan and recommended delivery and operating model. The 5 required outputs are: 1. On-street Charging Review 2. Policy Note: Content for a brief on-street charging policy note (external facing) that states the why, but also what the Council will and won’t allow in terms of installation of off-street charging. 3. Design Guidance: On-street EV charging highway design guidance specific to the city of Newport 4. Implementation Plan: highlighting the most suitable and beneficial areas to install on street chargers within the city 5. Delivery Route: Suggested delivery / business models The output from this commission cannot be a proposal for further studies.

2. Express an Interest in the Project

- Login to the portal with the username/password

- Click the “ITTs Open to All Suppliers” link. (These are Pre-Qualification Questionnaires open to any registered supplier)

- Click on the relevant ITT (itt_87198) available from 18th June 2021 to access the content.

- Click the “Express Interest” button in the “Actions” box on the page.

- This will move the ITT into your “My ITTs” page. (This is a secure area reserved for your projects only)

- Click on the ITT code to access the content

3. Responding to the tender

- You can now choose to “Create Response” or “Decline to Respond” (please give a reason if declining)

- You can now use the ‘Messages’ function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification

- Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT.
