Abstract

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who sought a service providers for Insourcing Ophthalmology(Oculoplastic) Outpatients and Treatments. The primary purpose of this service was to provide weekend and potentially some out of hours (including bank holidays) outpatient assessments and treatments (including surgical) at the University Hospital of Wales. The Health Board will provide the physical outpatient and theatre infrastructure and associated equipment and all consumables that would be required as standard for individual oculoplastic treatments. The bidder would provide a fully qualified team of specialist staff to work within the Health Board’s own facilities.
