Abstract

Cadwyn Clwyd, Llangollen Town Council (LTC) and Denbighshire County Council (DCC) wish to invite proposals to produce a Feasibility and Scoping Study for the Llangollen 2020 Project. This project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government. The Llangollen 2020 Project envisions a vibrant town centre that better meets the needs of residents, visitors and businesses so they are able to benefit from, engage with, and enjoy the beauty of the Dee Valley. The Project looks to create a more pedestrian-friendly town centre, an improved network of parking options, and improved signage on the approach to and within the town centre. The aims of the Feasibility & Scoping Study are therefore to define the scope and economic impact of these changes, and to gather community input into the scheme and its key components. The Feasibility and Scoping Study will include four elements: • Traffic and pedestrian flow data collection, analysis and modelling • Drafting of initial concept designs • Economic impact assessment • Community and stakeholder consultation
