Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

BCBC requires all tenders over the value of £75k to consider if community benefits can be included. Our approach where values are not high or timescales are prohibitive is to take the non core approach, that is we welcome Community Benefits in the submission but we do not score them as part of the contract. We will therefore ask applicants to tell us about how they will approach community benefits and on a contract of this type we would expect to see:-

• Job offers for people who are unemployed or economically inactive

• Work experience to include both young persons and older people

• A commitment to source materials locally

We would direct the successful applicant to work through Bridgend Employer Liaison Partnership (BELP) where all local providers including Job Centre Plus, Local Colleges and over 143 other providers are keen to place their clients in employment, work experience or training. Call 01656 815324 to discuss.
