Abstract
This tender sets out the vision Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) has for a housing related support service, which will provide temporary accommodation and support to vulnerable service users.
The service will respond to the needs of and support service users with housing related support needs, whom the Local Authority have agreed to accommodate on a temporary basis.
BCBC alongside Welsh Government recognise that as per Part 2 of The Homelessness (Suitability of Accommodation) (Wales) Order 2015 accommodating vulnerable homeless persons in Bed & Breakfast accommodation (B&B) is not suitable to meet the needs of homeless service users.
This service will assist the Local Authority to reduce its usage of B&B as much as possible, with the ultimate aim of completely eradicating the use of B&B as temporary accommodation to homeless persons.
