Contract for Supply and Delivery of Food Waste Caddy Liners

Description of the goods or services required

The council is seeking to enter into a contract with a suitably competent contractor for the supply of Plastic Polyethylene (PE) Liners food waste caddy liners. Companies may submit quotations for up to 3 types of liner. All sample liners must be clearly labelled.

Liners should fit comfortably and securely into a 5 litre kitchen caddy. The dimensions of the liners should be such that they utilise the total internal capacity of the kitchen caddies with an overlap for securing the liner in place over the opening of the caddies. Liners should be of a sufficiently robust and fit for purpose to be utilised for domestic food waste collections.

There are two Lots; and the Council will only be appointing one supplier to each LOT

• Lot 1 - Deliver Option - no later than four weeks after order

• Lot 2 - Deliver Option - no later than 18 weeks after order

The samples provided will be used to evaluate the robustness and suitability of the bags in an operational setting, Samples need to arrive by noon on the 22nd March.

The samples provided as part of the quotation will be used to evaluate the quality of the print unless additional samples are provided

The Council’s Minimum order quantity for this tender is 16 million, the minimum order for LOT 1 will be 6 Million and the minimum order for LOT 2 will be 10 Million. These are indicative quantities based on previous usage and a projection has been made of the usage of further Food Waste Caddy Liners. Therefore, actual quantities required will vary, these are estimate quantities.

The council would like to work on a call off basis for this contract per LOT.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

Liners should be of a sufficiently robust and fit for purpose to be utilised for domestic food waste collections. Liners deemed to be insufficiently robust and fit for purpose to be utilised for domestic food waste collections will be rejected.

The Council requires the liners to be delivered at a rate of around 2 million liner per month. The Council shall liaise with the successful bidder to develop a delivery schedule to ensure that sufficient supply is maintained at all times.

The tender has two Lots, you may tender for just one or for both Lots, please We reserve the right to award the two different Lots to two suppliers. There are two Lots; and the Council will only be appointing one supplier to each LOT.

— Click on the ITT code. You can now access any attachments by clicking the “Settings and Buyer Attachments” in the “Actions” box.

3. Responding to the invitation to tender:

— You can now choose to “Reply” or “Reject” (please give a reason if rejecting).

— You can now use the “Messages” function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification.

— Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT.
