Powys LDP Local Landscape Character Assessment

Description of the goods or services required

The Council is looking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified consultant to undertake a Local Landscape Character Assessment for the Powys Local Development area. This is intended to inform the review of the Powys Local Development Plan and to provide supplementary planning guidance to inform decision-making on planning applications. The outputs of the commission include a review of the existing Landscape Character Assessment for the Powys LDP area, a report that is capable of being adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance, associated mapping, data and information, a non-technical summary, and a set of policy recommendations in respect of the policy approach and wording to inform review of the Local Development Plan. The Council expect the assessment and associated work to be completed by the 31st of January 2022 with interim findings by the 31st of October 2021.
