Abstract

Magnetic Materials and Applications (MAGMA) is a single-Beneficiary Operation led by Cardiff University. MAGMA aims to establish a nationally leading research capability in Cardiff University with recognised expertise in the processing, characterisation, manufacturing and recycling of specialist magnetic materials. As part of the operation MAGMA has purchased a floor standing, general purpose chamber furnace; with retort and semi-automatic gas system and a fume cupboard. This requires services including Power Supplies, Medical / Specialist Gases and LEV Extraction. The requirement is to provide services including Power Supplies, Medical / Specialist Gases and LEV Extraction to a gas retort furnace and fume cupboard which have been purchased by the Magnetic Materials and Applications project which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government.
