The Council are seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractors to tender for the appointment of a contractor for demolition and rebuild of four walk up flats in Gwaelod Y Bryn, Llanidloes, Powys.

The units are contained in two semi-detached properties attached to occupied properties.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

The minimum requirements of the tender are as follows:

Constructionline Silver registration with relevant categories.

CHAS Registration (or full SSIP equivalent).

Site Managers must have Level 2 Working with Non-Licensable Asbestos training, and there must be one person on site at all time who has received this training. All other operatives will be required to have Level 1 Asbestos Awareness training.

Insurances are required as follows:

- Public Liability Insurance - £5,000,000.

- Employers Liability Insurance - £5,000,000

Passing of a financial assessment of the tenderers latest set out accounts, to be assessed in accordance with the Appendix K - Financial Assessments Information document found under the Attachments Area of the Portal.

- Tenderers must provide their latest set of full accounts, to include the Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet. This will be assessed is accordance with the Appendix K - Financial Assessments Information (found under the Attachments Area of the Portal).

- Due to the current Covid-19/Coronavirus global pandemic Tenderers are asked to provide their latest set of management accounts for the period of the pandemic in the UK (March 2020 to present).

- The Council reserves the right to request: a bank guarantee, a parent company guarantee, or a performance bond at its sole discretion.

Demonstrable experience of delivering contract(s) of a similar nature.

Acceptance of the JCT Intermediate Building Contract, Schedule of Amendments (as found under Appendix A in the Attachments Area of the Portal).

Any Tenderers who fail to meet the minimum requirements will have their tender response rejected and not further evaluated by the Council.

3. Responding to the tender
