Abstract

The Welsh Government wishes to commission a review of the skills system in Wales. The aim of this project will be to provide an overview of the evidence on establishing a cohesive skills system which differentiates Initial Vocational Education and Training (IVET) and Continuing Vocational Education and Training (CVET) in Wales and then test the evidence identified with experts and sector representatives. This work will inform development of the Apprenticeship Policy Plan. The specification sets out what is required, provides background information on the skills system in Wales and suggestions on method, but bidders are encouraged to propose alternative methods for carrying out this work within the available budget and timescale.
