Underlying principles Our ambition is to support Social Care Wales vision by; - being structured in our approach, so our managers and people know what we will be delivering for them. - introducing learning pathways to help people develop and progress throughout their Social Care Wales career - providing flexible blended learning opportunities that people can access at a time that is right for them and the role they are in. - adopting a 70:20:10 approach and mindset to learning - making use of our digital strategies to make learning as accessible as possible and location neutral - ensuring corporate learning opportunities are available bilingually. - regularly evaluating what we do with a view to continually improving the learning experience for our people. - seeking opportunities to collaborate with other Welsh Public Sector organisations to deliver learning and development programmes for our staff, ensuring that the use of shared resources are maximised - ensuring that learning and development activities are delivered on a value for money basis - ensuring equality of opportunity and fairness throughout all our learning and development policies and procedures. What is required / ‘The Requirements’ We are looking for someone to work with us initially to: - Conduct a skills assessment and gap analysis of our current workforce, based on the 6 corporate learning prioritise identified above in our Learning and Development Strategy. - Develop recommendations to address the current gaps (short, medium and long term) including costs and benefits; sources of possible funding/resourcing; solutions that allow flexibility; and use of existing forms of delivery by other organisations Aims and objectives Our aim is to get a more detailed understanding of the existing skill levels and gaps on a team, department and organisation basis, so that we can put in place a programme of training and learning that supports the achievement of our outcomes set out in our Strategic Plan. Budget

There is no set budget for this project; we are therefore relying upon receiving realistic pricing from suppliers which includes a breakdown of activity, including expenses.

Length of contract

We anticipate the contract will commence in May 2023 running for a 9 month period, with a possibility of being extended for a further 3 months, up to a total period of 12 months.
