Aberconway Student Community Hub Refurbishment (Main Contractor)

Description of the goods or services required

Aberconway library is located within the Aberconway Business School and this procurement relates to its conversion to a student resource Centre with four zones, these being, Digital Information Zone, Doctoral Studies Zone, Entrepreneurship Zone and Creative Learning and Teaching Zone. The proposals seek to make the spaces more flexible. The project looks to provide high quality student study spaces with digital access which would be as expected for a Business School at Cardiff University. Furniture and AV is included in this Procurement and will be included as part the Main Contractor appointment. The scheme also includes refurbishment of existing ground floor toilets and seeks to provide better link/visibility of learning zones with the external landscape including the central courtyard.

Additional Information

Access to the Procurement documents will close at 5pm on 17th April 2023 in order for Site Visits to take place on 18th April 2023. Further details regarding site visits are contained in Schedule 2 - Specification.

All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of bidders.

The University reserves the right to award the contract in whole or in part.

The University reserves the right to annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

All documents to be priced in GBP and all payments made in GBP.
