The provision of a workforce and reporting software package is required to enable NHS Wales to electronically manage Primary Care workforce information for reporting, analysis and planning purposes. The software package is required to be implemented before the end of March 2021 to ensure continuity of service.
The following are essential features of the software.
- Provision of a fully hosted service in a secure environment.
- Dedicated telephone & email support – tier support system.
- Data migration from existing service.
- Existing WNWRS functionality.
- Monthly upload to reporting module.
- Welsh language functionality.
- Extend functionality to additional user groups.
- Provision of dedicated customer services manager.

VII.2.1) Description of the modifications
An extension to the current contract is required to maintain existing service.
VII.2.2) Reasons for modification
Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
It is essential this system continues to be made available. There is a requirement to support the capture and reporting of workforce intelligence for community dental, pharmacy and ophthalmic services in Wales. Constraints outside the control of NWSSP now require continuation of the current solution to the 31st March 2024. This has been retendered as part of an expanded solution but implementation of this element will not be completed by the 31st March 2023.
