Powys County Council is seeking to enter into a contract with a single contractor using the JCT Minor Works Building Contract with contractor’s design 2016 Edition for the Design, Manufacture and Installation of Fit Out works and specialist work packages for exhibition showcases and Courtroom furniture for the Brecknock Museum in the Brecon Cultural Hub, Captains Walk, Brecon, Powys, LD3 7DS.

Minimum standards and qualification required

Contractors must be CHAS compliant and Constructionline Registered (or equivalent), with relevant work categories and category values.

The Council may only select your submission if you have appropriate levels of insurance for public liability, employers liability and professional indemnity, or you agree to put these in place before the date of contract award. The levels required for this tender are: Public Liability Insurance - £5,000,000. Employers Liability Insurance - £5,000,000. Professional Indemnity Insurance - £1,000,000.

Contractors must be able to provide 3 case studies of projects similar in scale, scope and complexity to this contract completed over the past 5 years.

The Council reserve the right to carry out an external credit check prior to the award of any contract, which where deemed necessary may result in the need for bank or other forms of financial guarantee being required.
