Appointment of Lead Merger Consultant

The Boards of Mid-Wales Housing Association and Tai Ceredigion have recognised the potential benefits of entering into a formal collaboration, and have started discussions with a view to possible merger. Mid-Wales Housing Association and Tai Ceredigion are now seeking to jointly appoint a suitable organisation to act as Lead Advisor to both organisations in connection with the collaboration decision and Stage 1 of the merger. Stage 1 represents the completion of an Outline Business Case to enable the two Boards to come to a view on whether a merger would be in the interests of current and future residents and service users. This will include limited due diligence to establish whether there are any issues which might prevent such a merger. At this stage, there is no preconception about the form any merger might take. Both organisations have a shared vision for the future which would see the partnership in whatever form is decided, that acts as one organisation, optimising local knowledge and connectivity, alongside regional strength. An organisation that provides services that are welcoming, customer focussed, people centred, easy to access, easy to use and right first time and actively listens to and responds to customers, ensuring their interests are at the centre of the business.
