SO708 A467 Footbridge Refurbishment

Description of the goods or services required

The works will involve structural steel repairs, preparation to SA2½ standard of cleanliness to bright steel or sound paint and application of a three/two coat paint system for three number A467 footbridges.

Remediation works will comprise either of the following Options individually or a combination of the two;

Option 1: Footbridge remediation works as per the scope of works to be undertaken wholly in-situ of the bridges existing geographical location.

Option 2: Footbridge remediation works to be undertaken in two part’s, simultaneously:

Option 2: Part 1: Footbridge span, i.e structure spanning over traffic lanes, to be wholly removed and transported off site to a convenient location were the remediation works can be undertaken as per the scope of works.

Option 2: Part 2: Footbridge access ramps and steps to remain in-situ and remediation works undertaken within existing geographical location as per the scope of works.

The procurement process for this arrangement will follow a two-stage, Open Procedure. Candidates will be required to pass the selection stage pre assessment criteria response before the total tender bid response will be considered.

Pre-assessment Stage 1:

This stage consists of pass / fail questions that must be completed in full. Failure to complete will result in the submission being rejected.

Candidates are required to PASS all pass / fail questions to proceed to the Award Criteria response stage.

Award Stage 2:

Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT) in terms of the following Criteria
