Application of IKO Waterproofing and Associated Works to balconies at Longfellow Road, Masefield Road and Betjeman Avenue Flats, Caldicot.
Works to include removal of existing coating, preparation of balconies to receive waterproofing system erection of scaffolding, temporary re-location & re-instatement of satellite dishes – if required.
All Contractors to be IKO approved applicators as per tender documents.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
MHA have an absolute commitment to providing employment and training opportunities to the people of Monmouthshire. It is imperative that we support the economic needs of the communities around which our business is built. We will maximise spend within local communities and increase local business capacity through this project as a part of sustaining our business. In addition, we will provide educational, training and work placement opportunities for unemployed people/tenants which will develop their work related and employability skills.
In addition, the Welsh Assembly has published its report on Delivering Maximum Value for the Welsh Pound and Social Inclusion in Wales. Within the latter report the Welsh Assembly has clarified its aim as “to improve the lives of all people in Wales”. It outlines within the report this will be achieved by, helping to create communities that are safe and a pleasure to live in, and where everyone is actively involved in creating the community they want.
MHA as part of our commitment to supporting the local community have incorporated the following terms and conditions within all of our contracts:
“Each successful contractor is to note that by entering into the contract for ‘the works’ as outlined within this document they are agreeing to entering into providing these opportunities, whilst recording the sustained employment positions within the business to deliver this contract”.
**Please see attached Appendix B TRT and Community Benefits evaluation sheet, part 1 on page 7 along with tables 1 & 2 on page 9 of the document must be completed and handed in with the tender documents.
