TAIS: Conwy Signage Project

Description of the goods or services required

Conwy County Borough Council wishes to appoint a suitable Supplier to supply, deliver, install, remove existing items, disposal of existing items and/or renovate high-quality directional finger posts in rural towns and villages as part of the TAIS Signage project.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The Supplier shall provide the following requirements to the Authority: -

Provide, install and remove the following at sites in Conwy, Betws Y Coed and Llanrwst:

• Provide and install 1 New post and finial

• Provide and install 18 New fingers

• Repaint 8 Posts and finials

• Repaint 54 Fingers

• Repair 12 existing split figure collars

Traditional posts to match those currently in use in Conwy Town. Which are to be bilingual and comply with Conwy CBC's black and gold signage colour scheme

Material of new posts/fingers: high-silicon cast aluminium alloy (LM6) – renovation may include existing cast iron posts which need to be retained.

Post size: 230mm square at the base and 2100mm high from ground level to lowest finger.

Cast pointed finial: 360mm high.

Finger size: 150mm deep (two lines). 800mm overall length.
