Abstract

The purpose of the scheme is to reduce the flood risk to the village of Rhostryfan, Gwynedd by improving the overall conveance of the water within the Afon Wyled channel. Through replacing two bridge structures, replacement of the existing highway culvert and removal of the debris screen on the inlet. Included within the works is channel repair and scour protection measures. The scope of the works for this scheme will include the following:- • Site Clearance • Removal and replacement of a new footbridge • Removal and replacement a new private vehicle access bridge • Removal and replacement of the culvert • Diversion of foul piped system • Demolition of private garages • Planning and reinstatement of road surface course • Reinstatement of private property utilised during construction works
