Qualifications Wales wishes to award a contract for the provision of headhunter services to support the recruitment of both senior staff and non-executive Board members.

We wish to award a contract to a partner who can work with us to understand the organisation and be available for us to call off services as and when required.

The contract will support the recruitment of either Board members or senior staff. The nature of the support will differ as our Board member appointments are made by the Minister for Education and the recruitment process is managed by the Welsh Government Public Bodies Unit, whereas senior staff appointments are made by Qualifications Wales.

The contract will be for a period of two years, with an option to extend for a further twelve months.

We have an immediate requirement to appoint 4 new Board members and anticipate the search taking place during July to October 2020.

We are seeking a new Director of Communications and Stakeholder Relations as our incumbent is leaving for a new position. We plan to advertise the position prior to the award of this contract and will be using various networks to promote the vacancy. However, we may ask the successful bidder to support us with headhunter search services to encourage a wider field of applications. If we do not successfully appoint then it is likely that we would ask the successful bidder to start a new exercise with us. We currently anticipate the job advertisement closing during July.
