Abstract

The contract will be a framework for delivery of our survey of the public opinions of non-degree qualifications in Wales over the next three years. The survey shall be conducted in English or Welsh at the respondent’s request. QW will provide a set of questions in each language. To promote comparability with surveys in previous years we would prefer that data collection starts in the second half of September of each year and is spread over a period of approximately 4 weeks

2 Contract Details

2.1 Title

Survey of the public opinions of non-degree qualifications in Wales

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

The contract will be a framework for delivery of our survey of the public opinions of non-degree qualifications in Wales over the next three years.

The survey shall be conducted in English or Welsh at the respondent’s request. QW will provide a set of questions in each language. To promote comparability with surveys in previous years we would prefer that data collection starts in the second half of September of each year and is spread over a period of approximately 4 weeks

The number of survey questions varies from one wave to another. As a minimum we would ask 6 questions.

The panel/sample selection criteria are:

• Population: Adults currently living in Wales.

• Age: 16+ years old.

• Size: at least 1000 achieved sample.

• Sample frame: the Supplier should evaluate their sample frame in relation to coverage of the target population.

• Strata: The sample should reflect key demographic characteristics of the population in Wales
