Heolddu Comprehensive School - Recording Studio

Description of the goods or services required

You are invited to submit a tender for the construction of a recording studio and associated works at Heolddu Comprehensive School. The scope of the project is fully described in the ITT and associated documents, but in summary the works are to be split into two stages and detailed below:

Stage 1 – Building Works and Preparation - To be completed during the Summer Holidays (Between Monday 29th July – Friday 23rd August)

- Submission of a building notice including paying the associated fees.

- The demolition of internal walls, doors, ceilings, flooring & associated items to create a larger ‘host’ room for a recording studio.

- The supply and installation of M&E equipment (including data) including commissioning.

- The refurbishment of internal areas including new ceiling, flooring, doors, carpentry and finishes throughout.

- By Friday 23rd August, the works are to be completed to a level where the ‘host’ room is fully functional, accessible, and only awaiting the installation of the Studiobricks pods and recording studio equipment. All Services for these pods should be in place for a ‘plug and play’ approach to the installation of the pods. Any works not directly relating to the recording studio pods must be completed during stage 1.

Key Dates

- Mon 22nd – Fri 26th July 2024 - LARC works (organised by CCBC Asbestos Officer)

- Friday 14th June 2024 - Contractor deadline for placing Studiobricks & Specialist Recording Studio Equipment Orders (to ensure lead times are achieved, the deadline for placing these orders is essential).

- Monday 29th July 2024 - Stage 1 Start on Site.

- Friday 23rd August 2024 - Stage 1 Completion.

Stage 2 Recording Studio Installation - To be completed during October Half Term.

- The supply and installation of prefabricated ‘Studiobricks’ free-standing pods & associated equipment/accessories (Note: there is a substantial lead time on Studiobricks orders and the factory closes throughout August. The Main Contractor is responsible for placing the order and making full payment for the Studiobricks order, delivery and arranging installation via the Black Cat Music &

Acoustic team by the dates outlined).

- The contractor is fully responsible for ensuring all M&E equipment (including data) is connected to the recording studio and commissioned.

ITT for the construction of a recording studio & associated works at Heolddu Comprehensive School

- The supply and installation of a raised floor, handrail & ramp to provide level access to the pods.

- The supply and installation of specialist recording studio equipment.

- Building Control Approval.

- Saturday 26th October 2024 - Stage 2 Start on Site.

- Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October 2024 – Studiobricks Order to be delivered and Black Cat Music Acoustic Installation Team construct the pods in preparation for fit out.

- Friday 01st November 2024 - Stage 2 Completion.

The above dates have no room for movement. All works must be completed during the dates noted.

9.Terms and Conditions — Read the terms and conditions of the use of this Supplier Portal and tick the box to denote you have read and understood the terms and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree you cannot complete the registration process. Once you have agreed click on the blue arrow to move on to the next stage;

10. Insert a password for the admin user and repeat it. The password Must be between 6 and 50 characters in length. It must contain at least 2 number(s). Once completed select ‘Complete Registration’ and you will enter the Supplier Home page;

11. From the Home Page, go to the ‘Opportunities’ icon, all current opportunities will be listed.

Click on the blue arrow under the field ‘Show Me’ of the relevant opportunity then click to register your interest on the applicable button;

12. Refresh your screen by clicking on the opportunities icon located on the left hand side, to view the opportunity click the blue arrow;

13. Note the closing date for completion of the relevant project. To find all available documentation drop-down the ‘Request Documents’ option and click to download all documents;

14. You can now either complete your response or ‘Decline’ this opportunity.
